On, June 26, 2008 at approx. 1930 hrs, a garbage truck, flagged down by passing by motorists, dumped its load of recyclable materials, mostly cardboard, behind Vito's
Pizza/Shop Rite on Route 33, after realizing it was on fire.  Nottingham Fire was dispatched for a reported vehicle fire and upon arrival reported heavy fire showing from a pile of compacted cardboard. Engine 17's crew extinguished the blaze and remained on scene until Hamilton Township DPW arrived to remove the rubbish.  -D. Olcott
