Rollover Drill at the DFTC
On Monday 6/2/08, the Nottingham Fire Company conducted a live fire drill with the Mercer County Fire Academy at the Dempster Fire Training Center. The propane fed rollover simulator was used to train for a “room and contents” type of fire. Located on the second floor, crews had to stretch a line up stairs and battle a fire in a bedroom. Extensive use of radio communication was used while training. On the exterior, crews placed ground ladders and coordinated ventilation with the interior crew.
