The Nottingham Volunteer Fire Company is always accepting applications from individuals who would like to join our winning team of volunteers. Being a volunteer firefighter, fire police or junior firefighter has many rewards and benefits. Below are some of the benefits in which all our volunteer personnel receive:

Many members of the community do not know exactly what is required to be a volunteer member of the Nottingham Fire Company. The requirements are as follows:
Must be 18 years of age
Must reside in Fire District #7 or live with 1 mile of the district boundary
Must complete an application
Must complete a physical exam
Must attend Firefighter I training at the local Fire Training Academy, which is usually held one or two night a week.
Must attend 10 Fire Company Meetings a year (The company currently has approximately 20 meetings a year)
Must attend 50% of all training in a year (Currently the company has approximately 24 training sessions or more a year, day and night)
